Objectives

The specific objectives of winEU.rur are: To exchange best practices, experiences, trends and knowledge and create joint synergies leading to a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of traditional agricultural landscapes, as drivers of new tourism experiences, where governance in the definition of local development strategies plays a crucial role. To encourage new EU citizenship and participation in the European democratic life and towards the valorisation of the cultural and natural heritage (tangible and intangible) of their rural communities and of their Common Europe. To promote European citizenship and improve the conditions for participation of the EU’s rural population, encouraging citizens’ debate on the future of Europe’s traditional agricultural landscapes and governance in the search for solutions to ensure the sustainability and digital transition of rural development. To improve the mutual understanding, coexistence, solidarity, neighbourliness and cooperation, learn about EU multicultural diversity and promote opportunities for social and cultural engagement, based on ancient ethnographic traditions linked to tilling and harvesting the land.
